Two of Everything

With two water tanks, grinders, bean hoppers, heating systems and other components, the X7 can make two cups from different bean types and two cups that use different settings. You can keep a flavored coffee on hand for guests and use your favorite beans in the second hopper. It can also work with beans of the same type for serving large groups or customers.

Dual Spouts

The two spouts found on the front actually function as dual spouts because each one consists of a milk spout in the back and a coffee spout in the front. When you select a drink that requires milk, the X7 will add the coffee from one spout and the milk from the other. It can even add milk, coffee and then more milk for some specialty drinks.

Integrated Descaling

Scaling occurs when you use a coffee machine with hard water or tap water that contains impurities. Those impurities will build up inside and affect the taste of your coffee. An integrated descaling feature removes that build up to help your coffee taste fresher and more delicious.

Integrated Rinsing and Cleaning

The Giga X7 Professional also comes with integrated rinsing and cleaning programs. Turn the rotary switch to the cleaning or rinsing setting, click the button next to the TFT display and wait for the machine to finish. It usually takes a few minutes to complete a cycle.

Intelligent Heating and Aroma Systems

The intelligent heating system that Jura designed for this model works during the pre-brewing process and adds hot water to your beans. This gives the beans a deeper aroma and a richer and more robust flavor. Its intelligent aroma system does a phenomenal job of releasing all the aroma you crave during the pre-brewing and brewing steps.

Bean Monitor

Though the X7 can work with any beans left in the hopper, it needs a specific amount of beans to work properly. That is why this machine comes with an active bean monitoring system. It will let you know when you need to add more beans before brewing another cup.

Water Hardness

The hardness of your water can significantly affect the way your coffee tastes. An adjustable water hardness feature on this Jura model lets you adjust the way it works based on the hardness of that water to change the flavor you experience.

CLARIS Pro Blue Filter

To ensure that your coffee tastes as great as possible, Jura included a CLARIS Pro Blue Filter. This forces the water in each reservoir to move through the filter, which pulls many impurities from that water. The filter also works with distilled or bottled waters that you use.

Choose from 29 amazing coffee options each time you use the X7. It can make favorite drinks like a cappuccino, cafe latte, latte macchiato or espresso. You can also use the machine to brew a single cup or an entire pot of coffee.

Hot Water System

The power hot water system provides you with hot water with just one touch of a button. The water comes out at a high enough temperature for making tea and other hot drinks. Fill a cup with hot water in under 30 seconds.

Fast Operating

With the X7, you can make an entire pot of coffee in under three minutes. It can also make two specialty drinks like two cups of latte macchiato in 90 seconds or less and make other drinks that do not use milk in around 30 seconds or less.

Pros

Two Cups at Once: The best feature of the X7 is that it comes fully equipped and ready to make two completely different cups of coffee. You use the display to select the drink you want to make, which beans you want to use and all the other settings. The X7 also lets you select the settings for a second cup that it pours at the same time.

No More Stale Beans: Though it does have two bean hoppers, the X7 ensures that your beans and grounds always stay fresh. An aroma preservation lid on the top of each one keeps those beans as fresh as possible. The machine also stores ground beans safely to keep the coffee from drying out.

Choose Your Own Settings: Thanks to all its impressive settings, you can select the right settings for each cup that you brew. Decide on the water temperature, the amount of water added to the cup, your coffee strength and even how much milk you want added at the end.

Cons

Large Size: While some might like the larger size of the X7 Professional, it’s really not that great for home use. Not only does it take up a lot of counter space, but the addition of two bean hoppers will make it difficult to store the machine under or inside your cabinets.

Frequent Cleaning: Due to its larger size, the X7 will require more frequent cleaning than other machines do. Though it does come with integrated cleaning and rinsing cycles, it may need to clean itself right when you go to make a cup.

Final Verdict: Should You Buy This Model?

Though we looked at all the top models from Jura, very few of those models came with as many great features as the Giga X7 Professional. Designed with professionals in mind, this is the kind of coffee machine that you can use in an office, retail space or any other type of business to keep your customers happy. It also works well in most homes, though you should make sure that you have enough space available for its larger footprint.

We really like the custom features that come on this model. Using the rotary switch and keeping an eye on the TFT display will help you easily change from one cup of coffee to the next and make changes to water amount and temperature, coffee strength and even the amount of milk added.
