Automatic Programs: Taking care of an automatic coffee machine can take some work, which is why we love the integrated automatic programs found in this model. Those programs let you descale, clean and rinse your whole machine in minutes. You can rinse your milk canister just as quickly.

Cup Spouts: The adjustable cup spouts are great for users who like drinking from mugs of different sizes. You can use those spouts with one or two cups of a variety of sizes. Jura added lighting to those spouts too.

Cons

Touchscreen Display: After using the A9, some wish that Jura added the touchscreen display to the front. Its location on the top of the machine may prevent you from using it under your cabinets or in other parts of your kitchen because you cannot see it clearly.

Smaller Size Canisters: Though it has a much smaller footprint than previous models, it also saves on space with smaller milk and water canisters. You’ll need to refill those canisters more often.

Cooler Temperature: The cooler temperature of the milk is also a downside. You may wish that milk came out a few degrees hotter.

Final Verdict: Should You Buy This Model?

While we found some minor issues with the Jura A9 Automatic Coffee Machine, we have to give this little machine a round of applause. Its small size packs a number of great features inside, including interested cleaning modes and a monitored drip tray. The touchscreen on top is another one of our favorite features because it’s hard to find a touchscreen on a coffee machine in this price range.

It also comes with features designed to help you use less energy. Not only will it enter standby mode after a few minutes or inactivity, but it will also turn itself off after it runs for two hours without any use. If you want a coffee machine that can handle all your jobs without taking up a lot of space, this is your best option.
